STC Became Essential Instead of Closing Our Doors
Released: 4/1/2021
Last year an event happened that was historical in its reach. For over a month from March 18, 2020 to the end of April all non-essential travel was stopped and businesses closed due to a world-wide pandemic.
People however still needed to eat and get medical attention including seniors. STC made the decision to remain open so that our seniors could get to these life sustaining activities. With reduced staffing, we kept our doors open and continued to transport our seniors.
STC continues to be a critical service for getting older adults to the essentials of life and as we transport them to various locations to get COVID vaccinations. We partner with a number of other agencies to ensure individuals can get rides get their shots.
